Missouri Camerata Virtuosi is a string orchestra based in Columbia, Missouri (USA), composed of talented young musicians from Columbia Public Schools high schools and the Missouri Academy of Music (MAM). It was founded by Renan Leme and Kirk Trevor, who serve as conductors and artistic directors. The ensemble brings together students from the top orchestras of Hickman High School and MAM, combining their strengths into a single advanced group. Its members have experience in large ensembles, chamber music, and solo performance, including participation in state orchestras and competition awards. The orchestra performs a wide repertoire ranging from Bach, Vivaldi, Corelli, Tchaikovsky, and Britten to works by Piazzolla and Villa-Lobos, reflecting both European and American traditions. Camerata Virtuosi aims to provide students with challenging repertoire and performance opportunities in the United States and abroad, enriched by the international backgrounds of its founders.

Renan Leme is a Brazilian conductor, violinist, composer, and educator based in Columbia, Missouri (USA). Born in São Paulo, he began his music studies in Brazil and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the Federal University of Pelotas and a Master’s degree from the University of Missouri, where he studied with Eva Szekely. He is Director of Orchestras at Hickman High School and an active performer, working as soloist, concertmaster, and conductor in the United States, South America, and Europe. He is also an award-winning composer, known for Adagio y Fuga Porteña, and has received recognition for teaching and leadership. Leme has founded and directed ensembles and collaborated with many orchestras internationally, combining performance, composition, and music education in his career.

Kirk Trevor is an English conductor, educator, and recording artist with an international career. Trained in cello and conducting in England under Paul Tortelier and Vilem Tausky, he moved to the United States as a Fulbright scholar. He has served as Resident Conductor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Music Director of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, and Missouri Symphony, expanding major festival programs. Internationally, he conducted the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic and was Principal Guest Conductor of the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, recording extensively. He co-founded the Missouri Academy of Music, has taught worldwide, won the Leonard Bernstein Conducting Competition, and built a major recording career in classical, film, television, and video game music, including over 120 albums.
