The Banda Sinfónica Avanzada de la Escuela Especializada Libre de Música Antonio Paoli de Caguas, Puerto Rico, directed by Prof. Miguel A. Rivera Trinidad, is one of the most prominent and recognized groups of this school, under the Puerto Rico Department of Education. It is made up of around 48 students aged between 9 and 18, young people with enormous musical talent. This grouping represents, in their curricular vision, a formative experience which enriches them musically, academically, and culturally. Among its numerous distinctions, we highlight the participation in the inauguration ceremony of the Governor of Puerto Rico (2013), broadcast live on Puerto Rico National Television; the 1st Prize in several editions of the Cidra School District Band Competitions, the 1st Prize (Excellence and Best Performance in the Concert Band category) at the Disney Music Festival, in Orlando – Florida (United States, 2015), participation in the Disney Performing Arts Onstage, “Gold Mickey Award”, participation in the Certamen Internacional de Bandas de Música de la Ciudad de Valencia (Spain, 2016), the 1st  place in the Competition dedicated to the theme of “Safety”, sponsored by the international company Praxair, performing a musical piece alluding to traffic safety and mobile phone use; participation in the International Festival of Bands of the City of Pamplona (Spain, 2019) and performances in Paris and other cities in France. It is the first representative group from Puerto Rico to participate in the Lisbon Music Fest.
