Dr. Ghyas Zeidieh, director
The Cache Youth Orchestras, under the direction of Dr. Ghyas Zeidieh, are an advanced orchestral program that brings together talented and dedicated young musicians from Utah (United States). The orchestra, which includes strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion, offers its members the opportunity to perform masterworks from the full symphonic repertoire, regularly collaborating with choirs, guest artists, and other musical ensembles. Students participate in sectional rehearsals with specialized instructors and perform alongside peers equally committed to musical excellence. They are expected to have fluent music reading skills, good intonation, a beautiful tone, mastery of shifting into higher positions, use of vibrato, the ability to perform in complex key signatures, and to be receiving private instruction with a personal teacher. This program fosters discipline, creativity, and teamwork, preparing young musicians to excel on local and international stages.
