Schola Cantorum Pastorinhos de Fátima
(Portugal)

José Leite and Lídia Pereira, direção

The Schola Cantorum Pastorinhos de Fátima is the children’s choir of the Shrine of Fátima. This choir was created in 2003 with the main purpose of animating the National Children’s Pilgrimage, which takes place every year on June 10th. It currently takes part in the regular program of the Shrine of Fatima and participates in concerts in Portugal and abroad. It regularly welcomes choirs from all over the world who visit the Shrine. The choir was directed by Paulo Lameiro until 2016, by Paula Pereira until 2021. In 2022 it was joined by the recently formed Coro de Alunos do Colégio de S. Miguel, formed that same year. The two choirs work in a complementary way and join forces in the various activities, celebrations and concerts in which they take part. Since 2021, this choral partnership has been directed and guided by José Leite and Lídia Pereira.
